Article 1: Cops: We’ll get the shooters

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have recorded statements from five motorists in connection with the shooting incident involving two policemen at Jalan Kuchai Lama. The motorists were at the traffic light junction at about 6.45pm on Wednesday when two policemen, who were approaching a black Proton Saga with four men inside, were shot by the car's occupants. The policemen returned three shots, hitting the car windscreen and petrol tank. City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah said the car of one of the motorists was hit with a bullet while he was waiting at the traffic light. “We are studying the footage from the traffic light cameras. The four suspects fled on foot when their car stopped after its petrol tank was shot. We found that the car had undergone five ownership changes,” he said at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre while visiting the two policemen Kpl Nor Azlan Abu Bakar, 42, and Kpl R. Subramaniam, 52.

SAC Ku was accompanying Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar and his deputy Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar during a hospital visit. Ismail said police had obtained several leads on the suspects and were confident that they would be nabbed soon. Kpl Nor Azlan was shot in the neck and Kpl Subramaniam in the abdomen. Both are reported to be in a stable condition. SAC Ku also revealed that another policeman on a motorcycle, who was passing by the scene, saw the attack and rushed his colleagues to the hospital in their patrol car. Kpl Subramaniam said he and Kpl Azlan had chased the Proton Saga after its driver refused to stop for a check.“The car then stopped at the traffic light junction. We got to out to inspect the occupants. Suddenly, shots rang out from the car and we had to return fire,” he added. Kpl Nor Azlan said he managed to fire his weapon despite being shot in the neck. “I wanted to fight on but the pain was overwhelming,” he added.
My opinion of this article is people nowadays are getting violence than last time. They don't scare of police. Why would this happened in our country? Because of our country doesn't have enough power to against crime? NO! All these happened because of our country never put much of concern on this kind of problem. Until now, this case had happened, only people start to concern, they only take action after this incident happened. I hope Malaysia can improve more on this :)
